Can I just say Maxwell is one of the coolest cats around? I loved him when he performed an Al Green tribute at the 2008 BET Awards. For those few minutes while he was on stage, I forgave BET for all their transgressions. Seriously. His performance, his suit, his cool shades, the shoes, the haircut. He was dope boy fresh, for real. He recently performed This Woman's Work and I thought I would share the youtube clip. I hope he really comes out with an album soon. All I know is that he likes to lurk on his MySpace account a lot. Otherwise, he keeps a low profile.

Man, I've been diving back into both these guys lately, too. My wife says Max doesn't look nearly as hot with the short hair, but that might be a good thing. :) And it's amazing, "This Woman's Work" still kills me every time. What an amazing, amazing version of the song.

I love me some Maxwell. I can listen to him sing all day. I was mesmerized when I saw him do that tribute.
Maxwell is one of the greatest soul singers in our lifetime but unfortunately he is also another great talent on MIA list.
I'm ready for that album. Love the snippet of Pretty Wings in his site, but you can only play it so many times...
He's starting his concert tour in Oct. He'll be at Radio City on 10/9. Can't wait til he makes it to L.A.!!! :)
